Fishy fish

Weird ginormous fish spotted somewhere in Yokohama. Any fishologists around here who know how this one tastes? ^^
Which reminds me, more small changes on my website: if you click on the small pink arrow on the top-right corner on the header next to the RSS Subscribe button, the header will fold. Settings are saved on your computer so if you’re a Instant Ramen fan (pun intended) you may customize it as you see fit ^^ my Acer Aspire One’s horizontal resolution is a bit small, so this helps a lot and maximizes space usage. More layout upgrades will be coming to your nearest Instant Ramen soon! (Mr. Fish contribution by Osk)
Update: Michael Flux says it’s a “red lionfish” (pterois volitans) ^^ thanks!

“Any fishologists around here who know how this one tastes?”
Heh, wasn’t expecting the end to be question to be… that…
How its called maybe? :p The name is “red lionfish” (pterois volitans), and last I saw, they’re pretty expensive for the size. Few years ago saw one at a local pet shop selling for about 70 USD.
LOL yeah, my sister read the “how this one tastes” part and fell sad for the poor fish ^^
Oh cool, just googled it and it looks exactly as that fish, how did you know? I mean, is it normal for people to recognize it or you’re a fishologist? ^^; Second time you amaze me around here =O
Second time? When was the first? :p
And no, can’t say I know everything off the bat, but well, that’s what Google is for, took me maybe a minute or so to find the specific species. ^_^
Yup a red lionfish!
I saw one at the chicago aquarium by the field museum. Neat animals.
That is a Lion fish alright. Not a rare site over at my end and nobody I know of actually eat these fishes as it belongs to the Scorpionfish family which is poisonous.
Cool! ^^ I guess I’m the only one who doesn’t know about their existence -_-
And well I wasn’t thinking about eating it (and yes looks poisonous!) just thought that it would be funny to write so =)
